Monkeying around

We got a great tip from Leatha that Sears is having a 8x10 halloween college for like $ 5 . So determined to get it , I raced down to Parkway Plaza with Sergio in tow to be my strong (just say no to the other pictures) and to help make cute smiles on camera with Buddy ! We got to have two outfits thanks to poor Kamilo growing out of his halloween jammies early so with the suggestion to put the jammies on take him and NOT put his monkey costume on first , I did just that , He was sound asleep taking rather adorable yet mimis in jammies then we woke him up for the costume change and he was a true champ , He smiled a little too well taking one after another of wonderful pictures. Needless to say, the $ 5 picture turned into about ten times that amount and we caved and bought more pictures. We had a great time during the week , getting sergio andres his first picture portrait ,while sister enjoyed her Senior dinner at school.

It is so hard for me to accept the fact that my beautiful, young teenager daughter is now approaching her 18th bday!

It seems like only yesterday she was a little as Buddy was ...
Now here on Thanksgiving , she will be of
Legal age. This brings tears to my eyes and I know it is silly but I feel like i am missing her and she is slipping right by me and moving on in life.. So independant, vibrant and funny and oh so pretty last week being homecoming week,she enjoyed Royalty day, black and gold day and homecoming dance with friends. I felt if even for a moment that she needed me if only to make the sashes and buy fun princess accesories. She is definately enjoying her senior year to the fullest and getting better grades than she has gotten in a long time...

October fun

I know this sounds silly but I am excited about halloween this year. Not only do I have a loving ,fun husband whose willing to "dress up" for a party this year but he is going as a doctor. Of course he is not thrilled about it but needless to say he is game. I was at first going to go as a cute angel .. but once we got his costume of a doctor. I immediately want to change mine to a nurse to go as a couple.. This is something I have never ever got to go as .. a couple at a Halloween costume .. a couple sharing a baby together ... a couple shopping together ... a couple spending holidays together ... Just the words alone make me smile out loud and praise God that I am truly sharing my life with a man whom I am completely utterly in love with ... I smile even while driving to work today on a Monday , no doubt I must be in love ;)
My baby boy is going as a monkey , I am so excited and my "baby" girl as a mermaid. I may flood this world with alot of corny phrases and pictures but I love the holidays for once in my life and not just cuz it is something to do or not be by yourself but to spend with family... I love the sound of that!

Early day fridays

At my household, we look forward to Fridays. Not just because it is the end of a workweek ,which is great.. but it is an early day of work for both Sergio and I ! I enjoy the fact that Sergio,getting off earlier than I gets to spend father and son bonding before I come home early too. I was all excited getting off and drove home rushing to put my adorable happy baby boy in my arms before tackling all the ever mounting household chores ,piling up all around me.. Loving and kissing and smiling at my infant for awhile. I ,then rushed out to do the three loads of laundry I had neglected all week long only to find my ever loving husband had not only done all the laundry but also had it hanging to dry on the line and in the dryer.. This is an double-edge sword if I ever saw one .. Yes , I am ecstatic that he did all laundry esp since I think he has only done it once since we have been together. I think he also excuses this great feat and deed done while watching the baby as a magnificent but it is to be never forgotten and told to all and forever "excusing him" from other chores .. since he did the laundry .

It was Vanessa's 19Th birthday surprise party later that evening and wow you almost thought it was his the praise he sought for his deed! Lol

I guess there comes a time in everyone's life when they get to a place in life where we want to record the events and memories of our lives , perhaps this is a sign of my indefinate desire to NOT get old by keeping up with newer technology but also a way to celebrate life , period! I am pushing 40 and finally feel I have come to a place in my life that i can TRULY enjoy my life with all chaos around me, my daughter , Brit being a senior in high school , turning 18 soon and a beautiful baby boy, Buddy whom despite my waistline expansion is the light of my life along with my daughter and wonderful ,loving and supportive hubby, Sergio . So here goes my hand at it can't promise miracles but I am trying.
